The effects of war on a child soldier

The child soldiers that live through the war are very tramitized by the expierience. What they were forced to do as soldiers is very hard to talk about and can really bother a former child soldier. This is why there is a very high depression rate in child soldiers. Another major reason that many child soldiers feel like this is because most child soldiers are taken at a very young age. Most children are are 7-18 years old when they are taken from their families. This is a huge problem in Africa and is trying to be stopped by the government of some countries. With alot of help we can stop this problem.

Families of Child Soldiers

Lots of families have their children and grandchildren taken away from their village. This is very hard for the family and the children. Most of the families won't see their child again. The soldiers from the army come to random villages and take kids, girls and boys. The family suffers from this loss because they need the help around the house and village. About 120,00 kids have been taken from their villages.

Child Soldiers in Africa

Many children in Africa are forced into being soldiers. Most of these children are found with rebel groups because many of the rebel groups invade villages and take the young. These children are likely to be injected with drugs such as heroin or cocaine to give them "courage" on the front line. Children are most likely tramitized and will be haunted by this past for the rest of their lives. This is a terrible act but it happens almost everyday, together we can save these children's lives and make a huge difference in alot of families!
